The Iława Poultry Plant
"EKODROB" SA
has been present on the market since 1950, originally as a Regional Poultry Breeding and Slaughter House in Iława under the management of the Central Dairy and Egg Co-operative. In 1964, as a result of organisational changes, the plant got subordinated to the Poultry Plants in Olsztyn.

In 1990 due to the division of the multi-plant structure of the Poultry Plants in Olsztyn, the State Poultry Company in Iława came into being, which was further changed into a limited liability company in 1995. In 1996 the business was transformed into a stock company named the Iława Poultry Plant “EKODROB” SA, whose initial capital was 9.2 million zloty.

On the 24th February, 1998 Ekodrob had its debut at the Warsaw Stock Exchange. In the same year a decision was made to introduce the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point system. On the 28th May, 1999 a new works was opened in Iława, in Składowa Street, which is a modern administration and production complex. On the 26th May, 2000 Ekodrob got its ISO 9001 quality certificate.

In August, 2003 a recertification audit of ISO 9001 and HACCP systems was positively completed.
